What is the difference between 2 strokes and 4 stroke engine
The main difference between 2 strokes and 4 strokes is that of the cycle, in 2 stroke engine when the crankshaft completes one revolution gives one power stroke whereas in 4 stroke engine the crankshaft gets one power stroke when it completes two revolutions.
2 stroke engine
[1] In this, suction, compression, power, exhaust STROKES are completed in 2 strokes.
[2] In a 2-stroke engine, once the crankshaft is turned, the power resssssss achieved
[3] 2 stroke engines have ports
[4] 2 stroke engine is cam and follower
[5] 2 stroke engines use light flywheels
6] A 2-stroke engine has a low compression value
[7] 2 stroke engines are used where the efficiency is high
[8] 2 stroke engine has high oil consumption
[9] 2 stroke engines run hot because it takes less time for the cylinders to cool down between two working strokes.
[10] The number of ports in this is three.
[11] 2 stroke engine has low power output
[12] 2 stroke engine has low mileage
[13] The design of a 2 stroke engine is not complex.
[14] 2 stroke engines have fewer additional parts
[15] 2 stroke engine weighs less than 4 stroke engine
[16] The thermal efficiency of a 2 stroke engine is low
[17] The mechanical efficiency of a 2 stroke engine is high
[18] Cooling in 2 stroke engine is done by air only which is called air cooling.
[19] Compression of fuel in 2 stroke engine is not proper or complete
[20] The lubrication system of a 2 stroke engine has a low efficiency
